Rijo Dazzles in Cincinnati Win
|
Jose Rijo never let the Cubs get in a groove. The right-hander used his bread and butter, his fastball, to pitch the Reds to a 3-0 win. The Reds bumped their record to 33-28 with this latest triumph.
Rijo gave Cincinnati a solid start. The right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits over 7 innings.
"Jose was throwing strikes, locating well," said Cincinnati manager Eric Deutsch.
