Dodgers Bang Out 6-3 Win Versus Montreal
|
It was a good time at Dodger Stadium, where fans came to watch the Montreal Expos and Los Angeles Dodgers get after it.
Los Angeles left-hander Matt Young made an effective start against the Montreal Expos at Dodger Stadium, leading his team to a 6-3 win. Young picked up the win for Los Angeles, going 7.1 innings. He gave up 3 runs on 9 hits. He now sports a record of 8-3. Scott Radinsky got credit for the save for Los Angeles. It was his 10th of the year.
The Dodgers had to work out of trouble in the top of the eighth. The score was 5-3, Los Angeles, with one out. Montreal, with a runner on 1st, was mounting a threat. Dale Murphy dug in at the plate, but on a full count slider, he flied out.
Their 28-34 record puts the Dodgers 5th in the United League West Division.
