Cardinals Lose, 8-6, at Metrodome
St. Louis got a terrific performance from left fielder Geronimo Berroa, but it wasn't enough to beat the Minnesota Twins. Minnesota won the Metrodome contest, 8-6. Berroa was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He was 2-3 with a home run and 2 walks, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. Minnesota now has a 3-game win streak.

Contributing to the Minnesota win was Koji Akiyama. In the bottom of the third, the 30-year old center fielder had a 2-run home run. That made the score 4-0, the Twins in front.

"In baseball, you have your ups and downs," said St. Louis manager Adam Rabel. "You just try to stay level-headed the whole time."
