Red Sox Lose to Braves, 6-3
|
The Atlanta Braves topped the Boston Red Sox, 6-3, in Federal League action at Fenway Park. The player of the game was Atlanta pitcher Jay Tibbs. In 7 innings, Tibbs surrendered 5 hits, while striking out 5 and walking 5. He allowed 2 runs. Mark Wohlers converted his 9th save in 11 tries.
