Giants, Jordan Pin Bad Loss on Dodgers

The San Francisco Giants powered past the Los Angeles Dodgers, 11-1, at Candlestick Park. Ricky Jordan was 4 for 5 with a double and 3 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 3, to lead the charge. With the win over Los Angeles, the Giants improved to 38-36.
Jay Bell put San Francisco in front, 5-0, when he took Matt Young downtown. His 3-run home run came with two out in the bottom of the first. It was his 4th home run of the season.
"We had a nice day," said San Francisco skipper Alen Maglajac.
