Drabek Finishes Off Yankees
|
St. Louis Cardinals starter Doug Drabek turned in a top-notch performance against the New York Yankees at Yankee Stadium. The result was a win for the Cardinals, 8-1. The Cardinals now have a mark of 46-32.
Drabek, who dominated for St. Louis, earned the victory to move to 7-3. He was in control the whole game, scattering 5 hits over 9 innings, while striking out 5. New York batters could never bunch up enough hits to produce a rally.
"It's always a heck of a lot easier to get to sleep after a win," Drabek told the St. Louis Citizen. "I know I'll rest easy tonight."
