Oakland third baseman Kelly Gruber made his presence felt in the 9-2 Athletics triumph over the San Francisco Giants. Gruber hit 2 home runs, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 4. Mike Parrott picked up the win with 7.1 innings of work. He allowed no earned runs on 3 hits, while walking 2 and striking out 1. On the season, he is now 5-3. The win boosts the Athletics to 48-43.
