The Baltimore Orioles clobbered the Toronto Blue Jays, 13-1, at Memorial Stadium today. Baltimore catcher Lance Parrish was named player of the game for his productive day. He hit 2 home runs. He scored 4 runs and drove in 6. Baltimore reliever Dennis Eckersley picked up the win, upping his record to 4-1. Dana Kiecker was saddled with the loss. The Orioles have an impressive 70-44 record.

Parrish had an important at-bat with the bases loaded in the bottom of the sixth, when he hit a grand slam. The Orioles went on to win.

"We maximized our offense today," said Baltimore skipper Sara Cole. "That makes everyone's life easier."
