Tigers Even With Pilots After Walk-Off Win
The Detroit Tigers got a strong game from starter Ramon J. Martinez, but it was some clutch hitting that ultimately delivered the win.

The Tigers took the 2-1 win over the Seattle Pilots in Game 4 of the Division Series in a 9th inning walk-off today. The win capped off a fine outing for the right-handed Martinez, who was named player of the game. Martinez threw 9 innings of 4-hit ball in the win, which brought the Tigers into a 2-2 tie in the best-of-7 series.

Randy Milligan had a clutch at-bat with one out in the bottom of the ninth for the Tigers. Coming up with a runner on 1st and Detroit trailing 1-0, he hit a walk-off 2-run home run.

"Our guys are never satisfied," said Detroit manager Julio Izquierdo.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow. The scheduled starters for the game are Todd Van Poppel for Seattle and Marty Bystrom for Detroit.
