Giants Rally to Eke Out Win
|
The San Francisco Giants picked up a win at SkyDome, knocking off the Toronto Blue Jays, 4-3. Starting pitcher Floyd Youmans, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. San Francisco is now riding a 3-game win streak.
San Francisco used the clutch hitting of Darryl Hamilton to capture the win. The right fielder drilled a run-scoring double in the top of the tenth inning to give the Giants the lead, 4-3. For the game, Hamilton had 1 single and 1 double in 4 at-bats.
"We had the game right there for the taking," said Toronto manager Jose Mata. "But we decided not to take it."
