Pirates Pull Back to .500 With Win Over White Sox
|
The Pittsburgh Pirates reigned over the Chicago White Sox in damp conditions at Three Rivers Stadium.
Pittsburgh Pirates starter Kenny Rogers was in a rhythm all game. He led his team to a win over the Chicago White Sox, 5-2. Bryan Harvey locked down his 8th save.
In the top of the sixth, the Pirates found themselves in a jam. Chicago had the bases loaded with two out. The score was 5-2, Pittsburgh. Bill Pecota was at the plate, hoping to deal the Pirates a serious blow. Instead, he popped out to end the threat.
The White Sox fall to 13-20 and continue their uneven start to the 1992 season.
