Athletics Turn Back Brewers, 4-3

Both teams had their chances, but the Oakland Athletics eventually prevailed at Milwaukee County Stadium.
The Milwaukee Brewers got a sterling performance from pitcher Orel Hershiser, but the Athletics still prevailed, 4-3. Hershiser was named the player of the game in a losing cause. He threw 9 innings of 7-hit ball. Oakland is in second place in the United League West Division with a record of 31-27.
Oakland took a 4-1 lead on David Green's 7th home run of the season. The 2-run home run came off Milwaukee pitcher Orel Hershiser in the top of the seventh.
"It feels good to get this one," Green told the Oakland Chronicle.
