Curtis and Wagner Fight, Get Suspended
Curtis and Wagner Fight, Get Suspended
Friday, August 7th, 1992
Chad Curtis of the Montreal Expos and Hector Wagner of the San Diego Padres will be on the sidelines for a few days. They have been suspended for 4 and 6 games respectively by the league office for causing the bench-emptying free-for-all at the recent Expos-Padres game at Olympic Stadium.

Neither player had any comment about the suspensions. Both clubs told BNN Curtis and Wagner will begin serving them soon.

This season Curtis has banged out 58 hits in 269 at-bats for a .216 average with 3 home runs. He is getting on base at a .291 pace and his totals also include 22 RBIs and 30 runs scored.

Up to now Wagner has compiled an ERA of 5.94 with a 7-12 mark over 23 starts. He has 86 strikeouts in 150 innings and has held opponents to a .244 batting average.
