League Punishes Pair for Fighting Friday, September 11th, 1992
Baseball officials have suspended two players for "inappropriate and aggressive conduct" in yesterday's Montreal-Oakland contest at Olympic Stadium. The Expos Eric Anthony and the Athletics Pascual Perez will have to sit out 5 and 6 games respectively for their parts in the brawl.
A look at his current stats shows Anthony with a .218 average, 26 home runs, 69 RBIs and 63 runs scored. He has played in 135 games.
Perez has made 10 starts so far this year and put up a 6-3 won-lost record with a 4.61 ERA. In 70.1 innings he has allowed 63 hits, walked 17 and struck out 45.
