Jose Rijo of the Cincinnati Reds humiliated the Texas Rangers at Riverfront Stadium today, spinning a complete game shutout and holding the visitors to 1 hit.

"He stayed aggressive and his ball was really moving," said Texas manager Sean Norman, after the game.

Rijo whiffed 8 and walked 3 in the 14-0 win.

"If I make good pitches, I'm going to get some outs," Rijo said. "I was making good pitches the entire game."

In 34 starts this season Rijo has fashioned a 16-8 record and a 3.04 ERA.
