Baltimore Takes Division Series in Deciding Game
Wednesday, October 7th, 1992
With a narrow 4-3 series win, the Baltimore Orioles have eliminated the San Francisco Giants and are Division Series winners.

"We tried not to look ahead to the League Championship, but we thought we'd be there for sure," said first baseman Kent Hrbek, who was named series MVP.

Baltimore won the final game by a score of 3-0, wrapping it up at Memorial Stadium.

Hrbek's big series saw him hit .333 with a .379 on-base percentage. He had 2 home runs, drove in 9 RBI and scored 3 runs.

The Baltimore Orioles don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Detroit Tigers - Seattle Pilots series. That series is tied at 3 games apiece. The League Championship schedule will be announced after the Division Series finishes.
