Federal League Picks Premier Rookie
Tuesday, October 27th, 1992
Denny Neagle's age didn't show very often in his first year. He performed more like a veteran on the hill for the Kansas City Royals and today he walked away with the 1992 Federal League Rookie of the Year.

The 24-year-old starter registered a 16-6 record this season in 29 starts. Over 211.2 innings he gave up 194 hits, struck out 193 and issued 47 walks as he held the opposition to a .243 batting average and fashioned a 3.87 ERA.

Willie Banks of the Chicago Cubs finished second in voting, while Mike Piazza of the Chicago Cubs finished third.
