Super Season, Griffey Jr. Wins Most Valuable Player
Tuesday, October 27th, 1992
The manager of the Seattle Pilots said he thinks Ken Griffey Jr. is only going to get better as he gets older.

He may only be 22, but it will be hard to top the center fielder's 1992 campaign, as he has been named the winner of the United League Most Valuable Player.

His winning campaign featured a .286 batting average and a .347 on-base percentage this year. In 156 games he piled up 173 hits, 26 doubles, 5 triples, 35 home runs, 114 RBIs and 118 runs scored.

Ron Gant of the Baltimore Orioles finished second in voting, while Edgar Martinez of the Seattle Pilots finished third.
