The Sun Rays and Royals announced a deal that was completed today. Orlando sent 27-year-old 2B Todd Haney to Kansas City for 32-year-old LHP Rob Murphy. Both teams appear happy with the outcome of the trade. The general managers told the Baseball News Network they felt the swap was beneficial for all parties involved.


During his career Murphy has appeared in 337 games, logging 362 innings with 363 strikeouts. He has carved out a 2.46 ERA with 29 wins and 22 losses and posted 200 saves.
