Colorado Rockies Ship Bullett to Pittsburgh Friday, December 25th, 1992 It's all done except the paperwork. The Colorado Rockies and the Pittsburgh Pirates have agreed to a trade that will send 24-year-old LF Scott Bullett to Pittsburgh, while 30-year-old RHP Scott Arnold and 32-year-old RHP Kelly Downs will be shipped to Colorado. A top front office executive with the Rockies described the trade talks as "quick and easy." "We're glad to get this deal done. We think it's something that helps our ball club and it didn't take too long at all to sort this one out," he said. Downs has crafted a 70-54 won-lost record in his career with a 3.76 ERA. |
