The 31-year-old catcher scattered hits all over World War Memorial Stadium to pace the Tidewater Tides to a 9-2 victory over the Greensboro Bats. Greensboro skipper Greensboro z-Manager told reporters in the press room that "Stefero deserves a hat-tip." "He hit some good pitches against us," he said. "In fact, according to our scouting reports, Stefero hit several that he is not supposed to be able to hit." John Stefero singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
