Howard Rips Tacoma for 5 Hits Sunday, July 21st, 1991 It was high-fives all around for Thomas Howard at Cheney Stadium today. He got them from his teammates and he got them at the plate during an outstanding hitting performance against the Tacoma Twins. Howard smashed 5 hits in 7 at-bats on his monster day, leading his club to a 20-8 win. "Thomas was hitting everything," said Golden Gators manager Beaumont Z-Manager. "It really was a special game for him." In the opposing dugout, Twins manager Tacoma z-Manager told BNN beat writers that Howard "ambushed" the club. "Obviously we didn't have much success against him, but we'll have another chance," he said. "Hopefully, Howard oversleeps next time." Thomas Howard doubled in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, flied out in the 4th, grounded out in the 6th, doubled in the 7th, hit a solo-shot off Andy Allanson in the 8th and singled in the 9th.
