Week's Premier Performer Honored by AA

It can be difficult for a young player to step out of the shadows and assert himself in the American Association, but last week Francisco Cabrera of the Columbus Clippers reminded everyone just why he's here as he threw up numbers that made him an easy selection for Player of the Week. Cabrera rocked opposing pitching for a .480 average (12-for-25), 2 home runs and 13 RBIs to come away with the award.
This season Cabrera has hit at a .324 clip with 85 RBIs, 27 home runs and 59 runs scored. He has played in 89 games.
