Tidewater Whitewashes Pawtucket, Darling Winner Tuesday, July 30th, 1991 The Tidewater Tides rolled to an easy 7-0 win over the Pawtucket Red Sox at Met Park today. Leading the way to victory was starter Ron Darling, who shackled the Pawtucket Red Sox and held them scoreless on a 3-hitter. "This is what every pitcher wants to do when they go out there," Darling said in his postgame press conference. In 16 starts this season Darling has chalked up a 8-4 record and a 4.60 ERA.
