Sample Runs Hit String to 20 Straight Games

Billy Sample, right fielder for the Chattanooga Lookouts, ran his consecutive-game hitting streak to 20 games with 2 hits in his club's 12-3 victory today over the Durham Bulls at Durham Athletic Park today.
"I don't really know why it's even happening," he said with a grin after the game. "So asking me how long I can keep it up is kind of irrelevant. It'll end when it ends."
Billy Sample singled in the 2nd, walked in the 3rd, grounded out in the 5th, singled in the 7th and flied out in the 8th.
Sample is currently hitting at a .308 pace with 8 home runs and 58 RBIs.
