August Pitches Firebirds to Shutout Victory Thursday, August 8th, 1991 The Phoenix Firebirds rolled to an easy 5-0 win over the Salt Lake City Gulls at Phoenix Municipal Stadium today. Leading the way to victory was starter Don August, who shackled the Salt Lake City Gulls and held them scoreless on a 5-hitter.
