Sasser Rips Oklahoma City for 5 Hits Sunday, August 18th, 1991 El Paso catcher Mackey Sasser had a day to remember today, 5-for-5 against the Oklahoma City 89ers at All Sports Stadium as the Diablos picked up a 17-10 victory. "He was patient up there today," El Paso skipper El Paso z-Manager told the press after the game. "I like the way he waited for his pitch and wasn't overly aggressive. Sasser has a tendency to chase bad balls sometimes." Mackey Sasser doubled in the 1st, hit an RBI double in the 2nd, hit a two-run home run off John Briscoe in the 3rd, hit a sac fly in the 4th, singled in the 6th and singled in the 9th.
