El Paso Season Won't Continue in Playoffs

It's the better-luck-next-time point of the season for the El Paso Diablos. The club was officially eliminated from playoff contention today, and will turn their attention to next year's campaign.
"You know, the average player doesn't get that many seasons, so every time you're eliminated, it hurts," said Diablos reliever Mike Munoz.
This is the club's 16th playoff miss in a row. They last appeared in the postseason in 1975. In total, the Diablos have missed the playoffs 15 times in their 15-year history.
