Postseason Bid Ends for Durham

It's now time for the Durham Bulls to start turning their attention to what can be done to help improve the club for next season. The team was formally eliminated from playoff contention today for the 1991 season.
"We knew a title was a long shot at this point, but mentally there's a big difference between a tiny chance and no chance at all," said Bulls closer Bill Scherrer.
Durham last appeared in the postseason in 1975. This is their 16th consecutive year missing the playoffs, and in total they have not advanced past the regular season 15 times in their 15-year history.
