Faedo Belts Bunch of Base Hits Tuesday, August 27th, 1991 The 5th time was not the charm for Lenny Faedo today. The shortstop for the Tacoma Twins hit the milestone today at Cashman Field, but it was the Las Vegas Stars that salvaged a 12-6 victory. Faedo finished with a 5-for-5 line at the plate, and it still wasn't enough. "He was not an easy out, that's for sure," Las Vegas manager Las Vegas z-Manager said to the press in the postgame interview. "I'm just glad we held everybody else in check and got the win." Faedo declined to speak to reporters at length following the game, saying only that "no loss is a good one." Lenny Faedo doubled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI double in the 5th, singled in the 8th and singled in the 9th. This season Faedo has delivered 59 hits in 223 at-bats for a .265 average with no home runs. He is getting on base at a .307 clip and his totals also include 16 RBIs and 26 runs scored.
