The Columbus Clippers will soon be packing their bags and heading home for the year. The 1991 season won't involve a playoff run for the club, as Columbus was mathematically eliminated from playoff contention today.

Before this season, the Clippers last missed the playoffs in 1987. In the 15 years they have been a Clemente Baseball League franchise, they have missed the playoffs 5 times. In the last 10 years, they have missed the playoffs only once. Columbus has won the National Championship 5 times in their history.
