Mercker Toys with Pawtucket

Kent Mercker of the Toledo Mud Hens humiliated the Pawtucket Red Sox at Ned Skeldon Stadium today, spinning a complete game shutout and holding the visitors to 6 hits.
"He stayed aggressive and his ball was really moving," said Pawtucket manager Pawtucket Z-Manager, after the game.
Mercker whiffed 11 and walked 2 in the 4-0 win.
"If I make good pitches, I'm going to get some outs," Mercker said. "I was making good pitches the entire game."
Mercker has fashioned a 19-4 mark for the season, 3.25 ERA and thrown 185.2 innings in 26 starts. Opposing clubs are batting .245 against him.
