Mercker Toys with Pawtucket Saturday, August 31st, 1991 Kent Mercker of the Toledo Mud Hens humiliated the Pawtucket Red Sox at Ned Skeldon Stadium today, spinning a complete game shutout and holding the visitors to 6 hits. "He stayed aggressive and his ball was really moving," said Pawtucket manager Pawtucket Z-Manager, after the game. Mercker whiffed 11 and walked 2 in the 4-0 win. "If I make good pitches, I'm going to get some outs," Mercker said. "I was making good pitches the entire game."
