Andre Robertson, shortstop for the Phoenix Firebirds, ran his consecutive-game hitting streak to 20 games with 1 hit in his club's 17-4 victory today over the Tacoma Twins at Cheney Stadium today.
"I don't really know why it's even happening," he said with a grin after the game. "So asking me how long I can keep it up is kind of irrelevant. It'll end when it ends."
Andre Robertson hit a sac fly in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, flied out in the 4th, struck out in the 5th, flied out in the 7th and grounded out in the 9th.
So far this season Robertson is hitting .322 with 20 home runs.
