Wichita Aeros right fielder Derek Bell was extremely blunt when asked how it felt to have his team be officially eliminated from playoff contention today.

"It sucks," he said.

The Aeros have missed the playoffs 14 times in their 15 years as a Clemente Baseball League franchise. This playoff miss is the club's 9th in a row, with their last postseason appearance coming in 1981.
